We have now reached our target goal of $3000 to print 250 books. To say thank you to you, we now wish to pay it forward.

For every $50 we make over $3000 we will be giving a free book to an unwaged or low-waged wāhine+. We have 15 books to give away.

Thank you so much for the last couple of weeks of proof reading and getting back final permission to use your work! We have a book publisher, and are currently using in-design to put the book together! It is looking absolutely stunning.

Soon we will start a kickstarter campaign to fund the first round of publishing – we are publishing 250 books! After that we will use the proceeds to do a second round. Every contributor will receive a free copy of the book – so you will be hearing from us soon!

We are hoping to do a book launch in Auckland in November – so keep your eyes peeled for that!

We have received 38 submissions in total and the curation process is currently underway! We would like to thank you all for the time, aroha, and thought you put into your words and your artwork. Submissions which are selected will receive a follow up email which either asks your permission to use the entire submission, or a portion of it. We are endeavouring to put as many in as possible. Submissions that are not selected will be based on the grounds that we a) do not feel that the work fits in with the overall feeling we are trying to curate with the book, or b) the subject matter is such that we do not feel we can adequately hold the work in a safe way for our readers.

The stories shared on this website represent a way to begin the conversation as well as a place to receive inspiration. We decided to do this because many of the women we were speaking to were not sure where to start or what would be appropriate to contribute. These stories are only a small amount of the submissions we have so far gathered, as well as some we have personally written, and we will continue to update this space as we receive different mediums that we feel will be helpful for people to begin their own journey of storytelling, sharing, and supporting.

Just wanted to give you all an update about what we have been writing about in the book in case you need some ideas for your own submission. So far we have covered:

• The Menstrual Cycle ( including PMS, moon cups, IUD, the pill)
• Moon Phases and their significance
• Moon Rituals
• Sex (including physical pain and #MeToo)
• Pleasure (including self, anatomy, cliterate, partner)
• The Womb and Womb Rituals
• Woman’s Wounds (including sister wounds)
• The Consent Model and Rape Culture
• Capitalism and the Patriarchy

These are only a handful of the topics we will cover over the course of the book.
