Only 45 Books Left!

Kia ora,

Toyah and I have decided not to do a third print run at this stage for personal reasons. This is not to say that we will not in the future if the demand is there, but that our changing life situations mean that it is not as easy as it once was to self-publish and individually post all of the books.

We have 45 second-edition books left, and they will be first in, first served. Arohanui to all our contributors and supporters, we would be nothing without you.xo

Giving Back To Our Community

From the beginning of this year, we are happy to tell you about how we have spent some of our proceeds in this not-for-profit venture.

Firstly, we donated $250 to the The Yellowhammer Fund which helps women access abortion in Alabama. https://yellowhammerfund.org/

Secondly, we raised $470 from proceeds of selling our book for one week to give directly to the protectors of Ihumātao. https://www.protectihumatao.com/

Thank you to everybody who has brought a book! Your contribution helped make this possible. Aroha nui.

Holiday Time

We are now officially taking a break till mid-Jan. If you order a book after 12pm on the 15th of December, it will be posted next year.

Merry Christmas.

Love and Rage, Toyah and Frances

250 Books Printed & Ready To Post

Kia ora,

We are now in the process of sending out all of the books to our contributors and supporters from Kickstarter.

If you want to buy a book, please email us at: wombwithaviewbook@gmail.com. We will have an easier system up and running soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Much aroha,

Toyah and Frances

We Are Fully Funded

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who have supported us through this mahi.

We have now reached our target goal of $3000 to print 250 books. To say thank you to you, we now wish to pay it forward.

For every $50 we make over $3000 we will be giving a free book to an unwaged or low-waged wāhine+. We have 15 books to give away.

If you have anybody in mind, please get in touch via instagram/facebook or our email: wombwithaviewbook@gmail.com

Kia ora whanau

We have officially launched our kickstarter to raise funds for the first round of publishing of Divine Feminist: womb with a view.

We are getting it published locally in Auckland and would love your support!

You can pre-order a copy, or donate here:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1225791421/divine-feminist-womb-with-a-view

Much love and sacred rage,

Nearly there!

Kia ora whanau,

Thank you so much for the last couple of weeks of proof reading and getting back final permission to use your work! We have a book publisher, and are currently using in-design to put the book together! It is looking absolutely stunning.

Soon we will start a kickstarter campaign to fund the first round of publishing – we are publishing 250 books! After that we will use the proceeds to do a second round. Every contributor will receive a free copy of the book – so you will be hearing from us soon!

We are hoping to do a book launch in Auckland in November – so keep your eyes peeled for that!

So much aroha for you all!

Frances + Toyah xo

Curation Process

Kia ora wāhine+,

We have received 38 submissions in total and the curation process is currently underway! We would like to thank you all for the time, aroha, and thought you put into your words and your artwork. Submissions which are selected will receive a follow up email which either asks your permission to use the entire submission, or a portion of it. We are endeavouring to put as many in as possible. Submissions that are not selected will be based on the grounds that we a) do not feel that the work fits in with the overall feeling we are trying to curate with the book, or b) the subject matter is such that we do not feel we can adequately hold the work in a safe way for our readers.

Love and a healthy dose of sacred rage,

Frances & Toyah
